Ambitious Ladies Mentoring Program
Success is in the eye of the beholder. The success you get out of life is determined by the amount of effort you put in.
Ambitious Ladies helps young minority females:
• Envision life goals
• Acknowledge and understand the necessary path to achieving goals, including hardships/obstacles
• Create opportunities for future success
• Overcome fear and build confidence in a male-dominated world
• Reach individual potential through expanding knowledge and awareness

Best Buddies
This program gives you a chance to make a difference in somebody else's life by pairing you one-on-one with an intellectually disabled student to provide friendly support and social interaction once a week. Interested? Give your name and HR to your Senior Buddy.

Board Game Club
Chess (for strategy and planning), Scrabble (for spelling and vocab), Monopoly (for math and budgeting) and many other games.  Out of all the skills that students will learn the most important is sportsmanship. Meets Thursdays 2-4pm in A313

C.O.L.A.S.-- Coalition of Latin-American Students
Their primary funtion is to serve areas of need within their community; they also seek to promote diversity, generate ideas about helping the community--while having fun. Meetings will normally take place in B212 on Wednesdays after school and membership is open to all.

Cooperative International Studies Program (CISP)
Take part in cross cultural presentations and activities. Learn how the rest of the world lives. Once or twice a month activities with students from 8 area schools. You can earn 1/4 credit, meets in rooms A201 & A204

The Debate Team

It is a good opportunity to meet and interview people, have your opinions appear in print and learn how a newspaper works. Meets Friday afternoons right after school

New club this year, but the details are not ironed out yet. Hopefully we will be doing a couple of small productions in collaboration with our music dept and the Comprehensive Art dept from downtown.

Visits 4 different Ivy league schools this year and participate in mock UN activities "representing a foreign country. A great way to learn about other countries' perspectives and meet students from all over the USA

Mu Alpha Theta

the Wilbur Cross chapter of the national high school math honor society.  Right now we have approximately 35 members.  In the spring of each academic year, we accept applications from students who are 9th, 10th, or 11th graders who have completed at least Geometry, who have an average in each of their math classes of at least 85, and who demonstrate strong academic integrity.  We meet the first Friday of every month in room V109 to plan events such as peer tutoring, participation in math competitions, Pi Day, initiation ceremonies, scholarship opportunities, social events, and general promotion of mathematics among our faculty and student body.  Each spring we elect a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer for the following school year. Meets the 1st Friday of every month
