Cross is hosting the "Kick-Off" Ceremony/Receptionfor both Career and Cross High Schools to announce our participation in the (POD) Project Opening Doors 5-year grant to increase our enrollment and qualifying scores in AP math, science, and English classes. This is part of NMSI, the National Math, Science, and English Initiative that has as one of its' goals to close the achievement gap.
About 300 students from both schools, some parents, some teachers, administrators, NHPS central office personnel, Mayor DeStefano, and NMSI and CBIA staff have been invited.
This event is scheduled for Thursday, , at 10 A.M. in the Cross foyer/auditorium.
